Cambodia - Rattinikiri Province - 2012

Students learned by doing. Had practical lessons regarding latrine building. 

Built latrines for the school so the teens had somewhere to go to the bathroom during school hours. The girls were especially happy to have a bathroom

We taught Hygiene classes. Also taught the  teenage students how to adapt the latrine building lessons to their home environment. One boy in particular was excited to build a latrine for the family.

Every day we would have an impromptu English lesson. The teens were eager to learn. They said if they could learn English then they could get better jobs.

Elementary students were taught hand-washing, brushing teeth, and basic daily care of self & siblings.
